OFFICE RENOVATION AT THE OLD LIBRARY

Client and owner: Møller Eiendom AS
Design: Luise Storch & Ea Lykke Syse
Construction: FInnstad Jørgensen

The building is the old library of Oslo called Deichman. It was build in 1933 and has been a library until 2020 when they moved to a new building. Møller Eiendom bought the old library in 2020. During the ongoing project for the total renovation and transformation, the assignment was to renovate the old office to use for future meetings and work.
The main idea was to keep most of the original furniture which was a part of the building and build originally for the library and using the original colors which have been there for decades.
The finished project shows a modern mix of old and new and the the colorpalette makes it all cohesive.
